Silent Prayer

By Shirley Sehorn | February 29, 2024

A woman in Germany told me about a worldwide moment of silent prayer every day. It is at 7:00 am Pacific standard time. I set an alarm on my phone to ring every day at 6:59 am so that I would have time to get to a quiet place. This morning, after a minute of silence, the Lord spoke, telling me not to look down, nor to look up, but to look outward. I did, and I saw, through His eyes, the hearts of His children worldwide. I cried.

The woman from Germany sent this to me:

During World War II, an adviser to Prime Minister Winston Churchill organized a group of people who would stop at a certain time each night, whatever they were doing, to pray in community for the peace, safety and security of the people of England . They did this every day, and it was as if the city stood still, such was the power of prayer. The result was so overwhelming that the bombing stopped after a short time! Now we are organizing ourselves again, a group of people of different nationalities, to pray for a minute for the security of our countries, for an end to the problems that oppress and oppress us, and for God to guide the decisions of our rulers. We will meet at the following times: Austria 4:00 p.m Germany 4:00 p.m Spain 4:00 p.m England 3:00 p.m Portugal (Lisbon time zone) 3:00 p.m Canary Islands 3:00 p.m Costa Rica 8:00 a.m Colombia 9:00 a.m France 4:00 p.m Nicaragua 8:00 a.m Ecuador (Quito) 9:00 a.m Guatemala 8:00 a.m Mexico (City) 9:00 a.m Panama 9:00 am Honduras 8:00 a.m El Salvador 8:00 a.m Venezuela 10:00 a.m Uruguay 11 a.m Paraguay 11 a.m Brazil 11:00 a.m. (including time zones) Argentina 11:00 a.m Chile 11:00 a.m. (Easter Island 9:00 a.m.) Italy 4 p.m Israel 5 p.m Greece 5 p.m India 7:30 p.m Uganda 5 p.m Iraq 5 p.m Lebanon 5 p.m Reunion 6 p.m Please support us in this initiative. We will pause for a minute each day at the appointed times to pray for peace in the world, for an end to conflict and for the restoration of tranquility to all the peoples of the earth, and for families to rely on God for their safety and see their salvation. If we understood the tremendous power of prayer, we would be amazed. Set the alarm on your phone every day at the time set for your country and pray for peace for one minute.
